After a year absent because of injury, Jordan competed against the likes of Clyde Drexler, Terence Stansbury, Jerome Kersey, Ron Harper, Johnny Dawkins, Tom Chambers and Gerald Wilkins - cousin of Dominique Wilkins who didn't participated because of injury... Jordan passed the first round with the lowest point total of 88 (41-47) and then led the semifinal with 148 (49-49-50) for a final showdown against Jerome... Jordan competed against a pack of ferocious dunkers at that time, like Dominique Wilkins, Julius Erving and Clyde Drexler.. There were also his teammate Orlando Woolridge, Larry Nence, Darrell Griffith and home favorite Terence Stansbury...
