(All Star Weekend #20) 1990 3 Point Shootout

This is rare feat of Jordan taking part in the 3 point shoot out.. It only happened in 1990 in Miami as part of the 40th All Star Weekend... Jordan lost instantly in the first round when he matched at the same time against his teammates and 3-point specialist, Craig Hodges, who topped that round with 20 points... More worst, Jordan only managed to score 5 points, which was and still the lowest total score of any round in the history of the competition (beside Detlef Schrempf in the semifinal round in 1988).. However this failure only made Jordan more motivated to become a better jumper, especially from behind the arc... Two years later, he bombed 7 threes in the first half of Game 1 of the Finals... This is part one of six of the full coverage of 1988 Slam Dunk Contest as part of the 38th All Star Weekend in Chicago.... In his third and final participation, Jordan again met his toughest rival, Dominique Wilikins... Beside Wilkins, there were Clyde Drexler, Otis Smith, Jerome Kersey, Greg Anderson and the tiny Spud Webb... In the first round, Jordan was behind Wilkins in the top two with total of 94 points (47 and 47)... But in the semifinal, Jordan was the best with 145 points (50-48-47) with Wilkins behind him... So, both of them, as in 1985, faced each other again in the final, but the result was different as Jordan defended his title by scoring 147 points (50, 47 and 50), two points more than Wilkins...
