This is part one of five of the full coverage of 1987 Slam Dunk Contest as part of the 37th NBA All Star Weekend in Seattle.... After a year absent because of injury, Jordan competed against the likes of Clyde Drexler, Terence Stansbury, Jerome Kersey, Ron Harper, Johnny Dawkins, Tom Chambers and Gerald Wilkins - cousin of Dominique Wilkins who didn't participated because of injury... Jordan passed the first round with the lowest point total of 88 (41-47) and then led the semifinal with 148 (49-49-50) for a final showdown against Jerome... Unlike in 1985, Jordan put on spectacular dunks and scored a total of 146 (48-48-50) to beat Jerome by six point and captured his first slam dunk trophy... Uploaded by diegoris23... Enjoy!
